Effective conservation can only happen when we have sufficient information about the species, habitats and landscapes we are trying to protect. In order to learn more about cryptic and elusive species like leopards, we rely on technology to give us a glimpse into the secret lives of these shy animals. To illustrate the indispensable role of technology in wildlife research and conservation, the Cape Leopard Trust is documenting the research process as our #TaleOfTwoLeopards Overberg camera trap survey unfolds.
